Join professional percussionist Iain Mellor for a very special event at Semitone Studios on Saturday 7th November at 1pm.
The workshop is a fundraiser for Iain, who is going to The Gambia in December and January to record local musicians. The recordings will capture their music in its own right and also provide material for Iain’s forthcoming album. He is paying all his own costs and fundraising to pay the musicians.
Spaces are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. To book, please email info@semitonestudios.com or ring 0161 826 7613 (and leave a message). A nominal (£5) fee is required to reserve your spot (we will send you a payment link when you contact us). Donations for the project will be gratefully received on the day.
Arrivals are from 12:30 and the workshop will start promptly at 1pm. The workshop will last an hour, followed by tea/coffee, social time, and a chance to chat with Iain.
Iain is also the featured artist at Semitone on 30 October at our usual Friday night live music event (this event is in addition to the fundraiser). You can get a sneak preview of his amazing skills and knowledge of this specialist subject. To book in for the night please email info@semitonestudios.com
